The intention of this module is to enable appropriately qualified experienced nurses and Allied Health Care Professionals to enhance their scope of professional practice by facilitating their development into competent/proficient prescribers. This is keeping with the standards as set out by the NMC (2006), HPCP (2005) & the Department of Health (2006).Collaborative interprofessional approaches will enrich your learning opportunities and encourage you to acquire, critically explore, share, apply and synthesize specialist knowledge and technical expertise fundamental in accountable, proficient prescribing of medicinal products. You must provide evidence you have experience in the field in which you intend to prescribe.Evidence of an ability to undertake physical assessment. English Requirements For those students whose first language is not English, the following qualification is also required:IELTS: 7.0Please note that due to changes in the UKVI's list of SELTs we are no longer able to accept TOEFL as evidence of English language for students who require a CAS as of April 2014.
