Course programme
This course includes English GCSE, Maths GCSE, a Study Skills module, a module on 'Fundamentals of Biology and Laboratory Skills' with support from UKCAT (UK Clinical Aptitude Test preparation).
- You¿ll need English and Maths at Level 1.
- In addition, all students will be interviewed and assessed.
- Applicants should be available for a minimum of 3 hours to complete the interview process, which will focus on assessing English and Maths skills, strong interest in science and commitment learning.
You'ill sit English and Maths GCSEs. You will receive a Certificate in Fundamentals of Biology and Laboratory Skills (assessed through coursework). The UK Clinical AptitudeTest will be taken after the course. It will be your responsibility to organise and pay for the test. The course fee is £607.00.
For applicants who already have a GCSE grade C, but still wish to improve their grades, an extra fee will be charged per GCSE: £792.00 tuition costs plus £35.90 exam costs.
On successful completion of the course, you can join the Access course in Medicine and Medical Biosciences at City and Islington College.
