This day course will deliver an interactive-lecture on the British Raj, Colonial rule and the impact this had on Indian nationalism. It will explore aspects of British culture and society in India; the growth of a 'middle class'; issues of racial tensions and economic exploitation that will drive Indian nationalist responses to British rule.
