The industrial production manager is the one who deals with the characteristics and development techniques of an industrial process, na of the phases of the production of a product, generally composed of several stages through which this takes shape, the transformation of a material or piece raw, or even semi-finished, through the use of a tool and / or active fluid, to obtain a finished product. Industrial production processes can be classified according to the technological cycle suitable for the starting material or piece. On the basis of the processes chosen, we then move on to the choice of the most convenient production system. The Italian National Unification Body (UNI) has not, up to now, presented a scientific nomenclature of the various industrial production processes. In DIN 8580 a subdivision of industrial production processes into different categories is attempted, depending on the type of effect that the single process has on the cohesion between the parts or particles that make up the solid body subject to machining (workpiece), or material. raw. This cohesion, in fact, through the technology of the production process, can be created from scratch, it can already exist and change characteristics, it can be increased or decreased or even eliminated. By virtue of these possibilities, DIN 8580 provides for the following categories of processes, sometimes abstract, for which it has not always been possible to find unequivocal terms in technical Italian: forming of amorphous material, union, separation, surface treatment, transformation / plastic deformation.
