Cyber security is often cited among the fastest-growing career paths for the foreseeable future. Our daily life, economic vitality, and national security depend on a stable, safe, and resilient cyberspace. In 2015, according to Symantec Corporation, more than half a billion identities were stolen and the rise of zero day attacks rose more than 125% from 2014.

Our InfoSec Professional program focuses on training, certifying, and producing skilled cyber security professionals that meet and exceed industry needs. The program entails a highly interactive curriculum with an emphasis on hands on learning. Through a multidisciplinary approach integrating computer science, business, economics, intelligence studies, and college mathematics, students will be prepared for a career securing and defending enterprise infrastructures.

About this course

To receive an InfoSec Professional Diploma, students must complete 15 credit hours for the program. Required courses are indicated below in “Program Breakdown”.

The InfoSec Professional program begins by solidifying foundational skills in cyber security. These skills consist of theoretical and hands on studies in the protection and application of network security, compliance/operational intelligence, threats, access control, and cryptography. Students will continue to build upon these skills by now learning the intentions and toolsets of hackers and rogue nations. Students will have the opportunity seeking and exploiting vulnerable web servers, poorly coded apps, and misconfigured IoT and computing devices to properly find solutions to remediate and mitigate infrastructures to acceptable risk levels. Finally, students will learn to document and report their findings to upper management.

After the completion of this program, student will have the opportunity to take and pass industry sought after certifications such as CompTIAs Security+, EC Council CEH/ECSA, and ISC2 CISSP.

The InfoSec Diploma is one of the only training programs in the country that prepares students for the following certifications: EC Council CEH & ECSA, ISC2 CISSP and CompTIA S+.
