I would compare this school to a color- orange, the color of optimism! The teaching here is clear, simple and straightforward. The instructors are always lively and in a good mood; they are always positive with us about our improvement and their sense of humor is contagious. They are very outgoing and social and they respect other cultures.

It's the cheerful, friendly atmosphere that I like. A warm welcome - and by name! Everytime! It’s what helps to make me feel a part of the school and not just another number in the cash register! Plus the lessons are never boring. They are taught with a passion and a knowledge of the language that only a native speaker can possess. Everyday colloquial expressions, the curiosities of the language, the choice of words for a particular situation, even some history. These can all contribute to a stimulating lesson, so that the time never seems enough! And it is not all book work. The social activities help to reinforce what we learn in the classroom – such as the evening out for a typical Piemontese dinner, or the wine tasting, the cooking lesson or just a fun night at the pizzeria with fellow students where the common language is Italian – or course!

Students will learn grammatical structures, develop a more expansive vocabulary, improve their pronunciation and will spend time practicing their conversation skills. There will also be an emphasis on comprehension, reading and writing.
Access to each course is via a free placement test designed to evaluate the student’s language level and to consequently form classes comprised of students with the same level.
Lessons are held every day, from Monday to Friday, and constitute a total number of 20 hours per week. A progress test will be given halfway through the course followed by a final test at the end, at which point a language level certificate will be issued.
Students will be provided with a study kit composed of the material required for the course and an AbbeyCard, which allows the holder to benefit from a range of discounts in any of the numerous participating shops, restaurants and museums.
Upon request, the school can organise recreational activities so that students may discover the beauty and the flavours of Piedmont.
