This course allows you to build on your existing InDesign experience and explore Adobe InDesign’s interactive features for digital media. This is useful for presentations, pdf forms, online portfolios, eBooks, and exporting to html and SWF files. On this course you will explore the advantages, limitations and challenges of designing for digital media.

About this course
- Integrate interactive feature into existing documents
- Create a PDF forms with fields to complete and buttons to print, submit and clear
- Use the Object states panel to set up a slide show
- Create Hyperlinks and buttons for navigation
- Identify the main uses for interactive features in different types of output
- Set up structure and tab order for accessibility to export a PDF
- Prepare interactive InDesign files to export to different digital formats.
The latest professional equipment and software are available for your use throughout the course.
It would be useful to bring a note book, a pen and a memory stick – please note PC formatted hard drives can be read by Apple mac computers, but not written to.
You will be taught with short lectures, demonstrations with practical exercises and handouts and will be supported by the tutor and your peers when developing your course-work. Group discussions and feedback are encouraged.
There will be homework set each week to develop your skills, but this is not obligatory.
Please note the City Lit uses Apple Mac computers in Digital arts, Graphics & Illustration and Photography.
