This first level course will enable you to develop an appreciation of the subject. We will focus on contemporary design. You will see examples of designs from practitioners with an international reputation that will inform and inspire project work. Creative disciplines are grounded in technical ability and here you will be encouraged to develop elementary skills in 3D visualization. These skills will equip you to produce a design for an interior: giving you the confidence to progress and reshape your own home. One of the sessions is taught off site in the form of a Study Visit. The venue / location is wheelchair accessible and the acoustics are good. What previous students liked about the course:““Very calm and encouraging environment. A great introduction to interior design.”“The opportunity to learn about something that has mystified and interested me for years.”“I liked the fact that technical knowledge was also included and a site visit was done for more practice view of concepts.”“Experience drawing plans to scale and building a model. Discussions on the principles of design.”“Keith’s enthusiasm ; ) ”“Open discussion, practical exercise (project), practical feedback, group feedback.”“The fact that we were taught by an architect who is also an interior designer. He pushed us to do plans/elevations and models. Good site visit to the South Bank”
