Your Apprenticeship Qualification may enable you to progress to the following qualifications and you may be able to gain credit for the work you have already done:
• Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3
• NVQ Administration Level 4
• NVQ Management Diploma Level 5


Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration
You will complete a supporting qualification to ensure you have the required knowledge to work in your chosen sector. For this part of your programme you will complete a number of assignments. Learners must achieve a minimum of 13 credits.

Mandatory units
• Principles of personal responsibilities and working in a business environment – 4 credits
• Principles of providing administrative services – 4 credits
• Principles of managing information and producing documents – 3 credits
Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business Administration

Learners must achieve a minimum of 21 credits overall, of which a minimum of 14 credits must be at level 2.

Mandatory units
• Manage own performance in a business environment – 2 credits
• Improve own performance in a business environment – 2 credits
• Work in a business environment – 2 credits
• Communicate in a business environment – 3 credits

The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is the new framework for recognising accredited qualification in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It is a flexible credit-based qualifications framework that enables qualifications to be tailored to meet individual requirements.

Functional Skills
If you do not have the relevant GCSE grades in Maths and English, you will complete a total of three functional skills which will be assessed in the workplace and you may be required to take an exam depending on your current qualifications in:
• English Level 1
• ICT Level 1
• Maths Level 1

You will also achieve Personal Learning and Thinking skills which will be embedded into the qualifications above.

On completion of the four elements above you will be accredited with an Apprenticeship Certificate.
