Course Content: Mandatory units are: Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety Promote additional services or products to clients Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work Provide facial skin care treatment Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes Carry out waxing services Provide manicure services Provide pedicure services There is a range of optional units to select from, with guidance from our beauty team. You will also develop your skills in maths and English, which will support your main programme of study, help your future progression and enhance your life skills. How will I be assessed? You will be assessed by a range of methods including practical observation, written tests, assignments and preparing a portfolio of evidence. Maths and English will be assessed through a controlled assessment or final exam. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? A kit and uniform are required for the programme. Details will be available from the curriculum staff during your interview. What can I do after this course? Further study You can progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy where you will continue to develop your skills in maths and English.
