Course programme
Course review:
Having already learned a lot about wood finishing theory, and honed your skills, this is your opportunity to refinish your own piece of furniture. The suitability of all pieces will be discussed prior to the course. With expert help and advice on hand, you will devise and apply finishing systems to suit the items that you have brought along. As well as practicing finishing techniques already visited on the Introductory course, new finishing areas could be explored, such as oil finishing, heat resistant finishes, high wax finishes, etc. Depending on their complexity, students will normally be working on 1 or 2 items and will also be learning from other peoples` projects. All materials will be available on site and will be charged at cost. Students will be asked to bring along some basic equipment. All projects for the Intermediate weekend will be discussed & agreed prior to the course.
