The International Foundation Year - Arts Route fully prepares international students for entry onto a wide range of arts-related bachelor’s degree programmes.
It may suit you if you are an international student with the potential and motivation to succeed, but currently without the formal qualifications for entry to one of our undergraduate degree programmes.
Our International Foundation Year - Arts Route guarantees all students who pass with the required grades, progression onto a range of arts-related degree programmes at the University.

Course programme
The International Foundation Year - Arts Route is a one year foundation year (level 0) programme taught at National Qualification Framework (NQF) level 3.The programme provides a firm grounding in the subjects required for the students' intended undergraduate degree programmes. Those who successfully complete the International Foundation Year by achieving specific grades are admitted to level 1 of one of a wide range of arts-related undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University. Learning and teachingYou will be taught by University of Leeds academics typically within the departments which specialise in the module you are studying. You will study through lectures, seminars, group work and examples classes. This is all alongside a comprehensive Academic Skills module which will enable you to develop appropiate arts-related academic study skills so that you can succeed in your future degree. You will also be assigned a tutor who you will meet with regularly. You will have access to the range of extensive libraries we have on campus.
