The International Master in Project Management offers a balanced programme of professional training at postgraduate level supported by the most recent research in the field. The course attracts applications from high caliber students from all around the globe and it offers participants an opportunity to study in a highly international context attending 2 institutions over the course of the programme.

This course is targeted to junior profiles and offers a balanced program of professional training at postgraduate level integrating the most recent approaches in Project Management with a cross sectorial and intercultural perspective that focuses on managerial, behavioral and technical competencies shared over a 12-month full-time study period and a final project.

About this course

Develop a systematic understanding of knowledge in the areas associated with project management. //

Evaluate critically academic research, professional
research, published case studies and media pronouncements on the development and use of project management in business and management. //

Acquire a critical awareness of contemporary and pervasive issues in project management, which may change over time, both in the academic discipline and professional practice. //

Encourage the development of subject interests by enabling students to carry out original research at the forefront of knowledge on a relevant project management topic through a Master level Thesis. //

Understand and evaluate a comprehensive range of research techniques used in the areas of project management in order to create and interpret knowledge. //

Assist the development of transferable skills (particularly teamwork, leadership, communication,
negotiation, conflict resolution and presentation) for
employment.

Young and brilliant candidates aiming at understanding and
improving the way to drive projects (from small ones to mega-projects) exploring both individual, team and company strategies.

At least 3 years bachelor degree.

Furthermore, candidates need to present an IELTS score of minimum 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each subtest. A CAE Certificate (Level C1) is also acceptable

Additionally, students are required to take 20 additional elective credits from either the PGT Spring School or the MBA Summer School.


During the semester at Strathclyde, students have also the possibility to attend one elective (non-mandatory) offered on campus or in one of the school's International centres in:

  • Switzerland

The final internship or research project running from June to February can be completed in Italy, Scotland or internationally.
