An introduction to producing vector-based graphic images, such as logos, diagrams and maps, using Adobe Illustrator.
Course Content:
This course will provide you with an understanding of how to produce vector-based graphics using Adobe Illustrator. During the course you will develop the skills and knowledge to produce a range of imagery and graphics including logos, maps, stationery and graphics. Illustrator is the industry standard for vector-based imagery and is used for producing fully scaleable graphics (they can be enlarged without loss of quality). You will be encouraged to produce artwork tailored to meet your individual needs such as developing your businesss brand identity (logo, stationery etc) or creating eye-catching graphics for leaflets, banners, signs and websites.
Duration:
2 hours a week for 30 weeks
Exam:
Assessment is informal and ongoing. Students will produce a portfolio of work showing completion/evidence of three mandatory units which are assessed by the tutor and verified by an external NCFE moderator.
