The programme will cover:

· How to change employment terms without being in breach of contract.
· The hours, rest breaks and holiday provisions of the Working Time Regulations.
· The laws on discrimination, their scope, and the ways in which employers can be liable for acts of discrimination.
· Employees’ rights in respect of maternity, paternity and parental leave and the right to request flexible working.
· The law on unfair dismissal and the statutory procedures that must be followed.
· The law on grievances and the statutory procedures that must be followed.
Who is the programme aimed at:
The programme is aimed at HR practitioners, line managers, supervisors and anyone who manages staff or who is keen to gain an understanding of the key elements of employment law and practice.
