• Introduction to global financial markets.
• Introductory level to how financial market asset classes operate, and associated risk.
• Analysis and interpretation of basic financial economic data.
• Introduction to technical analysis of financial market products and trading strategies.
• Basic introduction to trading platforms and implementation of trading strategies.

The aim of the course is to provide a genuine in-depth insight into the sector, so there will be guest speakers and company introductions during the course.

There are no formal qualification entry requirements.

It is recommended that course attendees are comfortable with numbers. Students must be enthusiastic, adaptable, and act with integrity.

There is no formal assessment at end of course as students will be continuously assessed to measure progression and understanding. Upon successful completion students receive a City and Islington College certificate.

Students who complete the course will be able to use their knowledge to purse junior administration roles within the financial sector. Successful learners will be offered a job interview and provided support in progressing into the sector.
