This course is for those who want to feel more confident, knowledgeable and skilful in their Outlook 2016 use either for personal or work use. You will learn essential jargon and terminology and use this knowledge to help you become a more proficient user of the program. You will learn how to organise and manage emails, appointments, contacts and tasks and you will learn how to do all this and maintain your security, understanding legal responsibilities as an employer or employee.

About this course
• confidently explain the processes for sending and receiving emails with knowledge of the level of confidentiality needed.
• attach a file or a folder to an email and safely download a file or folder to a folder on you computer that can then be scanned for viruses
• create basic signatures that can be appended to your emails
• manage emails to go directly into designated folders.
• set up reminders and create task lists so you can be up to date with appointments
• explain the security features offered in Outlook when sending and receiving emails
• explain your legal obligation and responsibilities when sending information via emails and the implications of the Data Protection Act.
There are no additional cost attached to this course. You will need your own pen and paper to make notes.
This will be a practical hands-on course. You will have your own computer and be encouraged to practise as much as possible. An interactive whiteboard will help make demonstrations easy to understand. It will be a relaxed learning environment and step by step learning will help you become more skilled. You will have lots of opportunities to ask questions and address areas you need help in.
