Introduction to Pastels

In this short course you will be introduced to the magic of soft pastel. A medium that is perfect for both the beginner and the experienced artist.

Major advantages of pastel include no drying time between stages and no concern about your work drying too quickly in a warm climate!

For the beginner, pastel is very forgiving – at the flick of a brush any mistakes can be easily rectified!

On this course we explore the importance of composition, colour and tone in the making of a good picture.

This course is based at the Hare and Hounds hotel, which is now part of the Cotswolds Inn group.
