This half day course is designed to induct front line staff to the importance and meaning of the Scottish Social Services Council Code of Practice. The course provides an opportunity for participants to understand their responsibilities to service users and to themselves as professionals, as outlined in the Code of Practice. Participants are given practical examples of what the Code means on a day to day basis and procedures to follow if they have concerns about the welfare of a vulnerable person. The course is interactive and jargon free providing an accessible means of understanding what it means to register as a social services worker in Scotland.
