Students will be led through a series of colour and mood studies in which a variety of basic techniques will be taught. Techniques include layering colour, masking out areas, creating texture, wet on wet and wet on dry. These studies aim to enable you to create rich tonal & textural effects in watercolour.

Studio-based, through practical tasks, demonstrations, regular individual feedback from tutor, group & pair discussion, & self- assessment with tutor feedback. The course fee includes most materials. Extra materials, ie watercolour paper, may be purchased from the tutor at cost. Easels will be used in the studio.
