Course programme

Year 1

The course will start with an induction into our welding workshop which will cover all aspects of health and safety associated with working in a welding environment, safe set up of welding plant and equipment with demonstrations on techniques.

Before attending you will need to have an idea on the welding process you want to focus on for the qualification, the welding processes we can accommodate are:
• MIG/MAG
• TIG
• MMA (also known as stick welding)

For the duration of the 18 weeks you will then use the time to practice techniques and gain an understanding of the welding parameters through brief group discussions and practical application.
