Course outline

To achieve the qualification you must successfully complete a combination of core and optional units.
To gain the Entry 3 Level Certificate for Progression, you must gain 9 unit credits.
The qualification comprises of:
A range of core units
A range of optional units
They are aimed at 16-19 learners who may have been failed by their formal educational experience, or who may benefit from an alternative curriculum and approach to learning. The minimum age for access to the qualification is 16.
Examples of Business units are:
Induction to college
Money management and personal budgeting
Career preparation
Recognising employment opportunities
Undertake an enterprise project
Understanding your employment contract and payslip

Teaching styles
A variety of teaching methods are used, individual projects, assignments, role play, case studies, presentation, use of ICT, display and discussion

Develop their literacy and/or numeracy skills
Explore/investigate career opportunities
Experience a range of vocationally related areas to identify personal preferences/abilities
Test out preferred vocationally related area
