All managers and Supervisors play a vitally important role in ensuring that safety considerations are assessed and appropriate action is taken to control occupational risks in the workplace. The law demands that all undertakings must he properly and effectively managed in respect of the Health & Safety aspects arising throughout an organisation
Managing Safely is about people, property, systems and equipment. This course will examine the reasons why over 500 people are killed and around 30,000 are seriously injured at work each year. It will also show that the Health & Safety Executive place responsibility on management for allowing 75% of deaths and injuries to occur
This five day course will encompass the total concept of Safety Management covering humanitarian, financial and legal implications. It will enable organisations and companies to reassess their safety policies and procedures by involving managers and supervisors at all levels. The legal requirement to consult with unions and employees and an explanation of their rights and functions will be explained. Emphasis will also be placed on "The Management of Health & Safety at Work' and supporting regulations which require 'written risk assessments' to be carried out by the employer
