Course Content
Designed for Supervisors and Managers who need to manage safely, this course covers the topics necessary to manage safely in compliance with Health and Safety legislation. The course also involves a short in-company project, using the skills learnt throughout the programme.
Programme - topics covered:- Understanding why incidents involving injury or damage occur
- Applying management principles to Safety and Health
- Behavioural factors affecting Safety and Health performance
- Legal framework for Safety and Health at Work
- Communication skills in relation to Safety and Health
- Nature of common hazards, noise, machinery, manual and mechanical handling etc
- Specialised hazards
On successful completion of the course, exam and in-company project, the delegates will receive a certificate issued by IOSH, which is a foundation qualification.
