  • Produce and record basic risk assessments
  • Recommend control measures as a result of the basic risk assessments
  • Provide management practices and principles as part of a complete management strategy
  • Plan, create and implement actions to meet health and safety objectives
  • Recognising and accounting for the risks from ergonomic factors
  • Investigation accidents and incidents which resulted in damage or injuries to discover the causes and to ensure the appropriate steps are taken.

IOSH Managing Safely Certification

Each delegate is required to sit a short answer test during the course and and submit a hand written practical assessment two weeks after the last day of the course. The paperwork is explained during the course by the tutor. It is the delegates responsibility to submit their assessment within the timescale, any assessments not returned by the deadline will result in the delegate failing the course.

Important Information

Delegates are awarded the IOSH Managing Safely certificate on successful completion of the course. Course certificates are issued by the examining body IOSH (Institute of Occupational Health & Safety) approximately 12 weeks after the last day of the course ending including exams.
