Aims
To instruct an operator to prepare and operate scissor lift and self propelled boom. (Courses for other mobile elevating work platforms are available on request).
- The candidate will have, following the course, a working knowledge of sections 2-9 and 18-19 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant regulations including the WAH 2005 Regulations. Be aware of risk assessment and how to implement this.
- Will be aware of accident control and prevention.
- The need for personal protective equipment.
- How to drive and safely manoeuvre a machine as required to a correct position and carry out a nominated task.
- The candidate will also be able to carry out a thorough pre-use inspection.
- Be aware of and operate the auxiliary or manual decent procedure.
- Maximum 4 delegates (2 Machines)
- Maximum 6 delegates (1 Machine)
- 9am Start - Approx 4:30pm Finish
