Introduction:
Students will complete a series of exercises throughout the module, all of which are designed to raise the student's competence and skill using computer software. It must be remembered that this is very much a â€-hands-on' course requiring students to practice a great deal.
The entire course will be undertaken in a formal but relaxed classroom environment in one of the Information Technology building's computer rooms. The course is delivered using a combination of lectures, short talks, demonstration and examples.
Study Mode & Location:
The course consists of four sessions per week three of which are from 0930 - 1400 and one session from 0930-1230. Each will have a break halfway through. Although it is advantageous that students have access to a computer and the relevant software outside of college in order to practice, it is not essential. However, for students who do not have access to a computer at home, time can be allocated in the Adult, HE & Professional Learning Centre.
