Course programme
This programme provides an excellent start to a career in IT offering a good grounding and more in practical and people skills. Progression follows naturally onto our IT Professional Advanced Apprenticeship. Other potential routes could be further education or another suitable Level 3 work-based qualification.
Although there is no minimum entry requirement for this course, all apprentices should be aware that there is a significant amount of learning involved in the programme, including technical training and, in most cases, personal study will be required. Previous qualifications in IT, Engineering, Science or Maths may be an advantage but are not required by all employers.
A suitable role for this framework would involve supporting others with their IT needs. This could include IT User Support, Database Assistants & Clerks, Computer Engineers, IT Operations Technicians and Software Professionals, but there are many roles that could be considered suitable.
We want you to achieve to the very best of your ability at CRC. To make this happen we offer both learning and personal support by specialist staff tailored to meet your specific needs.
This programme is delivered with a mixture of day-release and visits from your assessor at your place of work. Day-release takes place 1 day each week during term-time. Credit will be given for those with prior experience, knowledge and qualifications, which can cut down on the amount of day-release needed to complete this programme.
