JavaScript is a key element of dynamic HTML and offers a variety of ways of enhancing web pages. It can be used to create special effects such as rollover images and pop-up windows and is also useful for analysis tasks like form validation (ensuring that data entered in a form field fulfils certain criteria). Using the JQuery library, rather than creating functionality from scratch, greatly simplifies the use of javaScript and adds considerable leverage to your programming efforts. You will soon be able to add sophisticated functionality to your web pages with just a few lines of code.
