LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN SPECIALIST SUPPORT FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SCHOOLSThis qualification contains both knowledge and competency based units.It is suitable for those who have some experience of supporting learning within the classroom and are actively involved with assessment of learning and those who have already achieved a Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification at level 2. Learners are required to have at least 16 hour paid employment within a school classroom.Learners must achieve 44 credits in total from a combination of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover general aspects of school and classroom support, learners can then choose specific optional units that match their particular work role or school environment.

    Additional information

    Learners will be required to take part in an interview in order to check suitability for the course. Learners are required to be employed in a school in order to undertake this qualification. The qualification is run on a roll-on/roll-off basis so learners may begin at any point in the year. Units are externally set for learners which are then internally assessed. Witness Records from the work-place may be required.
