Lace Knitting

To summarise you will learn how to:

  • Understand cables
  • Work with lace charts
  • Lace and temporary cast ons
  • Insert a lifeline
  • Identify the spine
  • Block
  • Graft
  • Incorporate lace in designs
  • Shape lace patterns
  • Make lacey effects: large needles, ladder sts, drop and ravel down sts
  • Knit-on-borders: I-cord, single, double and triple join
  • Common mistakes and easy fixes
  • Make lace swatches.

Classes are held in the shop. Maximum of 7 students per class.

Full refund of deposit will be given for cancellations made up to 2 weeks prior to the first day of scheduled class. After this time, refunds will be given only if the spot can be filled by another student. Please be considerate.

Payment options: * 100% deposit is required at registration. * Materials supplied, including 1 ball of 4ply plus samples of lace yarn and an Addi Lace circular knitting needle.
