About this course

It is recommended that you have five GCSEs including English and maths at Grade 4 (C) or above. Adults with equivalent experience or qualifications will also be accepted. To study this module, you should be able to have understanding and knowledge of criminal law. Ideally, some knowledge would be beneficial or industry experience.

Year 1

You will understand key concepts, terms and processes in the area of Land Law. You will learn and understand:
1. What is meant by ‘Land’
2. What will be purchased in a Land Transaction
3. The distinction between registered and unregistered land
4. The way in which the registered land system works
5. How land can be held by more than one person
6. The nature and effect of an easement
7. The restrictions and obligations imposed on land ownership by covenants
8. The nature and effect of a mortgage

Additional information

Students will take an exam towards the end of the module during a set exam month (January or June) set by the exam board. A fee will be incurred.
