This is a two-year course for beginners, taking place on two evenings a week from 4.00 to 5.00 p.m. Collyer's students would be taking the subject alongside Year Ten and Eleven students from Millais, Forest and Tanbridge House for whom the course is primarily intended. The first year covers basic grammar and the second year involves translating from Latin to English, more complex language.

About the subject
