Why take this course? This course is only available to the Armed Forces and Fire and Rescue Services where there is agreement in place with the University regarding the provision of continuing management and leadership development for members of their staff who wish to apply. This work-based learning course is aimed at helping experienced and aspiring leaders and managers to develop their critical skills based on analysis, research and interpretation of information to form sound conclusions as a basis for recommendations for improvement. These skills are essential to effective management and organisational improvement and performance. You will be able to benefit from our flexible structure and delivery allowing you to tailor your studies to meet your professional development needs and succeed as influential managers. On this course you can:
The Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management is grounded in the National Occupational Standards in Leadership and Management and offers a work-based learning approach. Successful completion of the Certificate and the Diploma programmes enables you to gain graduate membership of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) or the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Completion of the PgDip stage provides the necessary entry requirements to progress to the MSc Leadership and Management.
