The Foundation Degree Leadership and Management (Hair) is designed to ensure that you cover a broad range of modules, which will equip you for employment in leadership and management roles within the hairdressing sector.
The programme offers modules, which combine a range of theoretical and practical elements designed to provide you with the skills needed in the workplace, as well as the academic rigour appropriate to a Higher Education programme.

Professional Development You will develop a range of academic skills such as presenting, referencing, research and writing, as well as many skills required by employers such as communication, use of IT, teamwork, independent work and dealing with the general public. This course will be delivered at the University Centre (formerly College House), with pathway specific modules being taught at the Printworks Campus.
For core modules, a dedicated teaching room containing shuttle based laptop PCs is provided for the course which enables interactive online activities and assessment to take place during class sessions.
For hair electives, students will study within first class commercial standard salons, fitted to the highest specification. For the latest version of the programme specifications for this course please see the following link: The minimum requirements are 1 x E in a relevant A level; or other Level 3 qualification; or Access to Higher Education certificate. A GCSE grade C in English, or equivalent, is also required. However, candidates receiving this offer will have experience in their chosen subject area.
