Course programme

This ten day programme is designed to be taught two days a month to allow for integration between modules. It can be broken out into day and half day modules to fit with business requirements.

The programme includes NLP Diploma certified by the International NLP Trainers Association and is endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)

The Business of Communication (2 days)

This workshop focuses on the keys to successful communication including understanding how you and others filter the world and how to respond to it. This includes the conscious use of language, rapport, observing other people and avoiding judgement. You will explore applications in terms of general business communication, writing presentations and proposals, interviewing and dealing with difficult situations.

Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming (1 day)

This workshop introduces you to the art and science of NLP and provides you with an opportunity to apply the key models to you, your teams and the organisation.

Knowing yourself – Insights profiling and workshop (1 day)

Using Insights, a psychological profiling tool using Jungian principles you will explore conscious and unconscious drives and what this means for your lives, business and communication with others. Delegates complete the profile online and are sent it to read in advance of the workshop. If the organisation has used MBTI previously, Insights is an ideal next step from that.

The Business of setting and getting your goals (1 day)

This workshop focuses on outcomes and goals. Setting and achieving your own outcomes and goals, helping your team set and achieve their own and explore what questions to ask about organisational goals to be clear about your contribution to the business.

Making groups Work (1 day)

This workshop builds on The Business of Communication and here you will take your communication skills to the next level by exploring them in the context of communication with other departments, cultures and organisations and consider specific business situations such as holding meetings and delivering presentations.

The Art of Business Finance (1 day)

This truly is a one day ‘finance for non finance' course like no other'.

As well as equipping participants with the finance fundamentals you'd expect to find on any finance for non-finance course, we recognise and tackle the common fears and limiting beliefs around finance. This is what makes Funky Finance unique, and this is what drives the authentic behavioural change that will have a significant impact on your organisation's results. Be prepared to significantly transform how your people think and feel about finance forever!

Making teams Work (1 day)

This workshop focuses on how to get the best from and for your team, both in terms of achieving the business objectives and supporting them in their personal goals and career. This workshop also helps managers to identify their own needs and boundaries and integrate this effectively with the teams requirements.

The Business of Managing Stress (1 day)

This workshop contains what every manager needs to know about mental health issues and how to respond to them. Now a major focus in business due to government legislation and the impact of managing long term absence, this helps to dispel the stigma attached to mental health issues, identifying the most common problems, how to recognise potential issues early and provides resources and tools to help managers support their teams.

Integration Day (1 day)

This is the final day of the course which allows time for questions, learning and reflections from the group. We also review case study business situations that the group can apply their learning to. There is also a section for the group to coaching each other, using their new skills on a topic important to them. And of course there's also graduation....
