Managers can find themselves managing a group of people, but not necessarily an effective team. This course aims to help delegates to develop successful teams through examining the factors that contribute to successful leadership and focusing on the motivation skills needed to improve team performance.
Course Content
- Leadership characteristics and qualities
- Differing styles of leaderships and when to use them
- How to recognise your own personal leadership style
- What influences peoples' behaviour at work
- Motivation theories and their relevance to different team members
- How to use motivation tools e.g. job enrichment, personal development, target setting and delegation
Suitability
Managers, supervisors and team leaders who are new to the role. Those managers and team leaders who have been in the role for some time and would like to learn ways of turning the group they manage into an effective team.
