Blender 2.6 Getting Started is a 2 day hands-on Blender training course which is run at our London centre.
Blender is an open source 3D animation software package. It can be used for modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging, skinning, animating, rendering, particle and other simulations, non-linear editing, compositing, and creating interactive 3D applications.
Blender has a powerful feature set comparable in scope and depth to high-end 3D software such as Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Maya, Lightwave and Softimage XSI. These features include advanced simulation tools such as rigid body, fluid, and softbody dynamics, modifier based modeling tools, powerful character animation tools, a node based material and compositing system and Python for embedded scripting.
The course gives you the opportunity to learn how to create your own scenes in the free Blender 3D software, covering everything from modelling to lighting, texturing, and the actual rendering of the scene. By the end of this course you will have a grasp of the skills that will give you a good basis to continue from on your own. Expect to have fun, busy, hectic days filled with new things to learn!
Suitable for: people who are looking to get started with Blender to create high end 3D content
About this course
