Whether you opt for City & Guilds or EAL, this qualification permits the candidate to register on the MCS Scheme for PV Installers
This course is for those who wish to learn how to design and install small-scale embedded generator systems. Completing this qualification will allow candidates to be recognised as competent in the field of Solar PV Systems and to play a vital role in the use of renewable energy, a market which continues to grow.
This course covers the design, installation and maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic systems for electricians and is aimed at designers and installers who wish to progress in the renewables industries.
You will learn about the environmental challenges facing the global infrastructure, the component parts of a Solar PV System, designing, installing and commissioning a PV system. You will also learn how to test and commission solar photovoltaic systems, as well as how to diagnose and rectify faults in installations.
This is a comprehensive 3-day training course and you will be assessed via assignments and GOLA On-Line tests. Successful candidates will receive certification to confirm their ability to install, commission and maintain Solar PV systems.
