Course programme

- The properties, sourcing and uses of different types of leather
- Hand-stitching techniques for saddle leather
- Surface decoration, including stamping, foiling and the use of colour
- Design for accessories.

This course is taught by demonstration and practice, supported by periods of one to one attention from the tutor. The emphasis is on experimentation and practical exercises. You may work on your design ideas outside of class time, but there is no requirement to do so.
