How will I learn?

A variety of teaching methods will be used to ensure that learners’ individual needs are met Teaching and learning activities through various speaking activities including, role-play, conversation games, group work, pair work, discussions, and flashcards

How will my progress be monitored and assessed?

This is a non accredited course with no exam at the end but the tutor will monitor progress and give feedback and you will be expected to complete a ‘weekly record of learning’

Progression opportunities

Learners will be able to progress onto an Intermediate course once they complete this course.

What equipment or materials will I need to provide?

Please bring a pen and paper to your lessons. You may be required to purchase a course book for your own personal use, plus a dictionary

What other support is available?

Help with numeracy or literacy is available. ICT drop-in sessions are available during term time and are open to all learners. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Learner Support Funding is available for equipment, childcare and travel to learners who qualify.
