About this course




You will be required to attend 3 hours per week for 12 weeks. Observations will be conducted outside of the classroom environment. Homework will be set throughout the programme.

Course programme

This qualification allows you to understand the role of a mentor and be aware of the skills needed to become an effective mentor. The aims of the qualification are to help you to:    Gain insight into the role and practice of mentorship; Be clear about mentor / mentee relationships;    Ensure they follow good practice;    Be aware of the specific skills and understanding they will require in order to mentor;    Review on their own learning and work performance.
NCFE Level 1 Award in Mentoring.
Tutor led learning with assessment in the lesson. Students will be required to complete tasks set by the tutor. Students are taught in a supportive and inclusive environment. Internally assessed and externally moderated portfolio.
