As part of Stanmore College's excellent support network, Literacy and Numeracy support is available to any student enrolled on a course, depending on the student's individual needs (determined during Induction by an assessment). Support is provided through the college's Study Plus Programme. Students can attend either one-to-one or group sessions in a friendly, stimulating and supportive environment.

This is a one year programme made up of the following units:3 Core Units:
Unit 1: Starting Work in Business, Retail & Administration
Unit 2: Working in Business, Retail & Administration
Unit 3: Introducing Customer Service

2 Personal Skills Units:
Unit 4: Personal Effectiveness
Unit 6: Financial Management

3 Vocational Units
Unit 9: Introduction to Retail
Unit 10: Introduction to Administration
Unit 11: Work Experience
All students will receive formal and continuous support throughout their time on this course
All students follow Key Skills:
·Communication
·Application of Number
The Vocational timetable includes the AIDA qualification to build on students IT skills.

By a vocational portfolio of coursework, which is internally & externally moderated. Key skills are assessed through a portfolio of coursework and an online externally set examination.
