Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies (Business & Retail)

The course modules may include: Subject specific content taken from business, retail and IT Investigating rights and responsibilities at work Ideas for small businesses Working as part of a team Healthy living Government and justice in the UK Community action The learning programme is personalised to the individual needs of the student and is made up of qualifications and units taken from business administration, personal and social development, retail and IT. There are a variety of personalised assessment methods and individual reviews which will be tailored to the needs of the individual student. Students will be required to work at Entry Level 3 Maths and English. You will be interviewed to assess your suitability to the programme to make sure that it will not only meet your needs and career direction, but that they will benefit from the education provided through the programme. Students will receive individual educational and careers advice throughout their studies to help them make an informed choice on whether to join another course at this level, move on to a higher level course, or into employment. This will take place regularly through tutorials and through other services available within the college.
