Technical Certificate Level 2/3 - C&G 2330

This Certificate covers all the underpinning knowledge (technology principles and practical skills) required to achieve the NVQ. The Certificate is divided into two parts: Part 1 may be undertaken independently of Part 2 and the NVQ, however, the Part 1 award is not a full qualification. To progress to Part 2 and the NVQ candidates must be engaged within the industry.

Part 1 / Level 2 Units (18 months)

  • Working Effectively & Safely in Electrotech Environment
  • Principles of Electrotechnology
  • Application of Health & Safety and Electrical Principles
  • Installation

Part 2 / Level 3 Units (15 months)

  • Application of Health & Safety and Electrical Principles
  • Installation: Inspection, Testing and Commissioning
  • Installation: Fault Diagnosis and Rectification

Materials
Relevant electrical textbooks or manuals are provided to candidates, and additional training materials may be recommended. Tools and materials for use during workshop sessions are provided by WLT. Candidates will need clothing and footwear suitable for workshop sessions.

Additional information

Support: Career Development Loans (CDL) are available to mature students (over 25 years) for certain training courses to cover 80% of the course fees with deferred payments until completion of the course.
