Course ContentThis course is for people who have a keen interest in animals.
Topics on this course include:
Providing food and water for animals
Maintaining animal accommodation
Helping with animal hygiene
Care of exotics, including reptiles, amphibians and insects
Animal biology including nutrition, growth, digestion and reproduction
Anatomy and physiology
Animal health and welfare, including diseases and first aid
Aquatics
Wildlife and rehabilitation
Work experience (mandatory for Levels 2 and 3)
4 GCSEs grade D or above to include English and Mathematics
