An Apprenticeship is a national work-based training programme designed for each industry. Apprenticeships are a great way of earning and learning at the same time. Animal Care frameworks are flexible over a range of pathways and have proved to be one of the most popular Apprenticeship routes across the UK.
On successful completion of the course you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Work-Based Animal Care and Functional Skills qualification. You will also have completed the Employment Rights and Responsibilities certificate.
You will learn through a mix of lectures, practical activities, group work, work-related activities and independent study and research. You will be taught in a well-equipped environment with specialist lecturers. As part of your programme, assessment is on a continuous basis with a number of assessments in each module. Assessments take a variety of forms, such as written reports, essays, designing a product, presentations, and group projects. There are timed examinations in some modules.
