Level 2 Autistic Spectrum Disorders

This course has been designed for staff working with people with autistic spectrum disorders. It provides learners with a greater understanding of autistic spectrum disorders and covers the following:

• The fundamental principles of social care when working with people living with the disorders
• The diagnostic criteria
• The possible causes of autism
• Characteristics
• Associated health problems
• Positive interventions

With the knowledge gained by learners from this course they will be able to positively reduce incidents of challenging behaviour and improve quality of life for service users.
