Combining theory and practical sessions, our accredited Manual Handling course ensures best practice in accordance with the All Wales Manual Handling Training Passport & Information Scheme. Course programme
This accredited qualification is designed to provide a consistent approach to manual handling that ensures best practice in accordance with the all wales local government manual handling training passport & information scheme.
DurationThe course is delivered over one day. It can take place at our training academy in Cardiff Bay on the dates listed, or at a time and venue to suit your occupational needs. We have no problems fitting in with existing work shift patterns and are happy to teach the course early morning, late evening or overnight if required.
• Module A – spinal awareness, legislation, your authority or company policies, risk assessment, safe handling principles, team handling, communication.
• Module B – Inanimate load handling and practical ergonomics.
Candidates are assessed by an objective test of multiple-choice questions and trainer observation of skills demonstrated competently throughout the course.
