Course Content

These courses are aimed at people with a lively and enquiring mind, an interest in business, a willingness to explore new ideas and an ability to communicate ideas effectively. These are practical, work-related courses. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities.


Course Subject Themes in Level 2 and Level 3 include:

There are also work placement opportunities available for learners on these programmes. In addition, a range of trips and visits are arranged to complement your studies. Applications from students wishing to develop entrepreneurial skills and start their own business are encouraged.


The Level 2 Diploma in Business is equivalent to 5 GCSE’s and comprises of 9 units


Entry Requirements

2 GCSEs A*-C including English
Or 4 GCSEs Grade D including English. If English GCSEs at D or above is not held, then entry is subject to a satisfactory diagnostic test result at Level 1 or above

Internal Hopwood Hall College students wishing to progress to the next course level will be required to have an Essential Skills qualification at an appropriate level.
